About

Unbuilt is an ever-growing database showcasing unrealised architectural designs in Ireland.

We invite you to explore summaries of unbuilt final year architecture projects, highlighting the overlooked beauty of our towns and landscapes, posing the question: What could be?

Our mission is to connect ideas, people and place. We believe that final year architecture projects have a creative optimism untethered by market constraints.

While these designs may never be built, they have the power to spark a reimagining of our locality and fuel discussion on the future of our built environment.

Unbuilt shares ideas to spark conversation and envision a brighter future together. Share your ideas and be part of the Unbuilt project!

Founded in 2022, Unbuilt is an ongoing initiative supported by the Arts Council of Ireland Engaging with Architecture Award and mentored by the Irish Architecture Foundation.
